Brussels

I based myself in Brussels for my weekend away and it was such a beautiful and safe city. I wish i had been able to spend more time there but my trip was packed full of day tours. So with my precious little time there i explored the city centre on Saturday evening. I must admit i went a little crazy with my chocolate shopping - i think i ended up spending over AU$200 on chocolates alone! But with every 2nd store claiming to be the BEST belgian chocolates and chocolates decorations like below hanging around everywhere, how could i resist??
After a quick rest at the hotel i dragged my sorry ass out and did a quick walking night time tour of the city. I wasn't disappointed. Just look at the stunning photos below - which were taken with my crappy iphone!
Ahhh i miss you already Brussels. Lucky i stocked up on Belgian chocolates to last me a month =)

Spontaneous loner traveler

Last weekend i treated myself to a long weekend to Belgium before i started full time work this week after nearly 5 months off *insert groan here* It was a spontaneous trip booked just two days before i flew out. I travelled on my own - another "to do" item ticked off my list. At first it was scary and stressful, but by the end i was quite relaxed, happy and proud of myself. One of my many favourite memories to take home =)

The ladies going nuts at Sephora in Barcelona.

I may or may not have walked out with 5 new lipsticks.

Tulips

Taking home some red tulips from Amsterdam.

Wearing 5 layers on top and 3 layers on the bottom and i was STILL cold.

Amazing experience none the less.

Best window display

As the title suggests, this has to be my most favourite window display ever. How cute is he??!!

@ Edinburgh

The boy

I couldn't agree more!

The boy in Edinburgh doing his photography thing.

A dog and his stick

Happiest dog in the world playing fetch with his gigantic stick.

Miss my doggies at home so much.

Feathers

Fluffy blush feather ceiling lamps.

Me wanty.

Easter Roast Dinner

Slaved over 4 hours to make this duck roast for Easter dinner.

Delicious in theory. Looked fantastic. Tasted like cardboard.

=(

However the cheesy potatoes were a hit.

Easter Egg

Handmade belgian chocolate egg filled with chocolate truffles inside.

Gifted by my boyfried <3

Gone within the same day. Lucky i took this picture.

Funny tourists - swim? smell? meh whatever

So while at the Cliffs of Mohair, there was the most serene sound of the tides gently crashing against the cliffs. I tried to capture a quick snippet of it for future memories. My mistake? Doing it as annoying American tourists passed with their obnoxious babbling. Ah the joys of tour groups.

Sigh.

I guess it'll be referred to as the "funny" memory clip.

Turn up the volume LOUD to hear them in the background of the clip.

Cliffs of Mohair

Cliffs of Mohair in Ireland.

I am a fantasy book nerd. This was the stuff of dreams. Standing where all my favourite celtic fantasy characters would have.

Vienna

Day trip in to Vienna.

Beautiful city, however came across as just another "european" city.

Once again was blessed with beautiful weather - quote from tour guide "40% of the tour success is dependent on the weather". So true.

Prague

Sunset at Charles Bridge in Prague.

Beautiful city. A photographer's dream.

Had polish sausages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between. Heaven.

Perfect weather and beautiful skies.
